Job summary

Healthcarelink Support is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Recovery/PACU team in Sydney, NSW, on full‑time contracts. You will provide safe nursing care and support perioperative patients across orthopaedic, neuro, urology, spinal, and ENT specialties.

Two years RN Recovery/PACU experience, current AHPRA registration, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Working with Children check are required. Join a modern, patient‑centred hospital with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 2 years RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing.
• Experience in Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology or ENT.
• Authority to Work in Australia.
• Working with Children check.
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA.
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice

  • The hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. It is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. The hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.
  • About You
  • 2 years’ RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, OR ENT surgery
  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Working with Children check
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
