Job summary

Healthcarelink Support in Melbourne is seeking an experienced RN with anaesthetic experience to join our collaborative anaesthetic team on a full-time basis.

You will undertake anaesthetics nursing care, deliver evidence-based nursing care, liaise with the multidisciplinary team, ensure patient and staff safety, supervise ENs and AINs to deliver patient care, assess operative nursing care, and document in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration is required.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• High level organisational skills to meet time constraints.
• 12 months+ experience in anaesthetics.
• Strong clinical skillset.

Responsibilities

• Undertake anaesthetics nursing care in accordance with legislation.

  Are you an experienced RN with Anaesthetic experience, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care?

  We are currently expanding our team and are looking for RNs who want to join our collaborative Anaesthetic team on a full-time basis.

  As an experienced RN in anaesthetics, your role will include:
  • Undertake anaesthetics nursing care in accordance with legislation
  • Deliver evidence based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
  • Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
  • Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

  • The hospital is a leading healthcare facility that specializes in acute surgical, medical, maternity and mental health services.
  • Located in the rapidly developing Northern suburbs of Melbourne, it is very easily accessed via the Western Ring Road, Eastern Freeway and also by public transport.
  • The hospital currently has 145 beds, including a 4 bed HDU and 5 theatres.
  • The planned expansion will include increase in Mental health beds and growth of 4 theatres and 34 beds with additional consulting suites.
