Healthcarelink Support is seeking an Occupational Therapist for private practice in Hobart, TAS. The role spans paediatric and adult streams with a strong NDIS focus, offering diverse assessments, interventions, and reports in clinic or community settings.

Flexible FT/PT permanent roles with a generous base salary up to AUD 110K plus super, travel allowance and PD allowance. Relocation assistance and a supportive multi-disciplinary environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Full registration with AHPRA is required.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Ability to work across paediatric and adult streams, with NDIS focus.

Responsibilities

• Handle paediatric NDIA/NDIS assessments, interventions, and reports in clinic and community/home settings.
• Manage adult clients with functional, capacity, and wellbeing assessments and written plans.
• Provide therapy in clients' homes or local community; develop realistic treatment plans.

Working Hours: FT/PT Permanent

Salary: Up to $110K per annum + super + travel allowance + PD allowance

As an Occupational Therapist you will be responsible for:

• The paediatric role involves providing NDIS & Disability assessments and intervention and therapies, both in a clinic and a community/ home setting. You will provide education and make recommendations to parents, carers, educators etc, and provide written reports


• The adult client-based role involves providing functional needs and capacity and wellbeing assessments, intervention and written reports. You will develop treatment plans, set goals and make recommendations, including home modifications. This role will also involve seeing clients in a clinic and community/home setting


• Provide therapy to clients in their home environment or local community


• Observing clients perform their daily tasks in a community setting


• Working with clients to develop a suitable and realistic treatment plan


• Skill building, housing modifications, report writing, and many other diverse cases to use all your OT skills


• Provide education and recommendations to clients and carers


• Display patience and able to effectively communicate with clients and build rapport
