Responsibilities

• Guide young people in custody through rehabilitation by modelling positive behaviour and engaging them in programs to build life and work skills.
• Promote important security procedures in a frontline custodial role at a youth detention facility.
• Maintain safety and security, establish healthy routines, set clear boundaries and redirect challenging behaviour.
• Respond to incidents and help young people develop positive relationships with health and mental health providers.
