Job summary

Wabtec Digital Mine in Brisbane is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join the rapidly growing Program & Services team. You will be the critical interface to customers, configuring systems, testing, and ensuring deployments meet agreed requirements.

Ideal candidates have mining domain experience, strong ticketing skills, and the ability to coordinate projects while delivering reliable technical support across firmware, software and configurations, whether remotely, in the office or on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining environment or with mobile fleet equipment.
• Experience with helpdesk / ticketing applications.
• Project management / coordination experience.
• Tertiary degree in Engineering (Control Systems, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computer, or similar) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux administration, Microsoft Server, IIS and SQL Server.
• Coding exposure to C, C++, Python, Java, HTML or similar.
• Sound knowledge of current network and communications technology.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical system issues.
• Able to prioritise simultaneous demands with KPIs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Configure the system to operate per customer requirements.
• Test and verify system operation and performance for configured systems.
• Collaborate with services team to deploy new systems successfully.
• Implement configuration changes per customer change management requirements.
• Support firmware, software and configuration updates as needed.
• Deliver services per SLAs or project work, remotely, in the office, or on site.
• Own and provide technical support to customers and partners to ensure satisfaction.
• Engage with Product Managers to advocate for customer priorities and quality.
