Job summary

Leed is seeking an HSE Advisor to join our site-based team on South Australia’s leading civil infrastructure projects. You will provide practical health, safety and environmental guidance to project teams and work closely with Supervisors, subcontractors and crews to proactively manage risks.

The role focuses on visible safety leadership in the field, conducting inspections, delivering toolbox talks and driving continuous safety improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a HSE advisor in civil construction or related industries.
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent) and First Aid.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a proactive risk mindset.
• Experience promoting safety behaviours and continuous improvement.
• Certificate IV in Environmental Management is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE advice and support to project teams.
• Promote legislation compliance and client requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and risk verifications.
• Develop and maintain project HSE plans and docs.
• Participate in client meetings and project coordination.
• Assist investigations, identify root causes, and action items.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor environmental controls and project environmental compliance.
• Support continuous safety culture improvements.
