Southern Housing is seeking a frontline Estate Services cleaner in Croydon to maintain clean communal areas and assist residents. You will be supplied with tools, PPE, and a new uniform, and will work as part of a local estate services team.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, experience in cleaning duties, and the ability to work both independently and in small teams while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Valid UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Experience of undertaking cleaning duties.
• Experience of working in small teams.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety considerations as they apply to this role.
• Ability to use a smartphone to access company emails and log repairs/health & safety issues.

Aufgaben

• Carry out general cleaning duties to communal areas (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, litter picking).
• Sweep, disinfect and tidy refuse chutes, bins and bin areas.
• When required, use machinery (jet washers, steam cleaners) for deep cleaning with training provided.
• Report repairs or defects in communal areas to maintenance/line manager and follow up actions.
• Provide cover in the absence of other colleagues.
• Be a point of contact for residents and assist or refer inquiries as needed.
• Be aware of vulnerable customers and highlight needs to line manager.
• Act in a friendly, professional manner and adhere to health and safety policies.
• Carry out other duties consistent with the post as required.
