Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia / Northern Territory (RFDS SA/NT) seeks an experienced Team Leader, Ambulance Services to lead frontline Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers in road ambulance operations, events and remote health support across RFDS SA/NT.

The role reports to the Operations Manager - Ambulance Services and combines clinical leadership with staff development, quality improvement and effective rostering, including time outside standard hours and travel between

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience with frontline paramedics and supporters.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Paramedic and Authority to Practice.
• Proven clinical decision-making and incident management capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily road ambulance operations and event medical deployments.
• Coach, mentor and supervise Paramedics and Patient Transport Officers.
• Maintain active clinical practice while ensuring patient care excellence.
• Participate in audits, debriefs and continuous quality improvement.
• Support workforce planning, rostering, onboarding and training.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
