Job summary

Winanga-li Aboriginal Child & Family Centre (ACFC) is seeking an Aboriginal Family Preservation Caseworker to provide intensive, in-home support for Aboriginal families in Moree. You will help keep children safe, connected to kin and community, and co-design Family Action Plans with a culturally grounded, trauma-informed approach.

The organisation prioritises cultural safety, ongoing learning and a supportive team environment, offering opportunities to grow within the Family Support service.

Qualifications

• Aboriginality is required for this Aboriginal identified role.
• Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families.
• Demonstrated experience in case management or family support.
• Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive, home-based casework support to families (including weekly home visits).
• Work with families to co-design and implement Family Action Plans.
• Build trusting relationships with children, families and kin.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments of family strengths, risks and needs.
• Develop, implement and review case plans to improve child safety and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate, timely and compliant case records.
