Universal Fans is seeking a Frontend WordPress Developer to join our Melbourne team on a 12‑month contract. You will work onsite, building and refining frontend components, templates, and page layouts for multiple online stores.
You’ll collaborate with marketing and ecommerce stakeholders to boost conversions, site speed, and organic search performance. The role emphasizes clean, practical front‑end code, with a strong focus on UX and SEO awareness.
About Us
Universal Fans is a well‑established retail business with multiple online stores specialising in ceiling fans and ventilation products. As exclusive distributors of the rapidly growing Fanco and Claro brands, we’re expanding our digital presence and investing heavily in improving the performance and experience of our eCommerce sites.
We’re looking for a frontend WordPress developer to work onsite at our Melbourne office. This role is ideal for someone who writes clean, practical front‑end code and has a genuine understanding of how build decisions affect both user experience and search performance.
This is primarily a development role - you’ll be hands‑on in WordPress daily, building and refining components, templates, and page layouts. You’ll work closely with marketing and ecommerce stakeholders to implement improvements that drive conversion, improve site speed, and support organic search performance. UX sensibility and SEO awareness are important, but the foundation of this role is solid frontend development.
This is a hands‑on development role with real variety - you won’t be maintaining a single monolithic site but working across multiple growing eCommerce brands with a collaborative team. You’ll have genuine input into how the sites evolve, with the freedom to solve problems properly rather than apply quick fixes. If you’re a frontend developer who cares about how things perform, look, and rank, we’d love to hear from you.
