Job summary

Banana Shire Council is seeking a Front-End Loader Operator to support road construction and maintenance projects across the shire. You will operate the loader to meet required standards and work with maintenance teams.

This role requires a Class C driver’s licence, White/Blue Card, and Front End Loader competency, with duties including plant operation, routine servicing, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C manual driver’s licence and White/Blue Card.
• Front End Loader competency (LL) is required.
• Experience operating heavy vehicles on road construction/maintenance is essential.
• EEO and WHS principles understood and applied.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader efficiently on maintenance and construction projects.
• Provide high quality plant operation services to work teams across locations.
• Maintain and service plant daily according to procedures.
• Read and interpret basic plans and instructions.
• Carry out general labouring duties as required.
• Complete and maintain administrative records (e.g., timesheets).
