Job summary

Dealer Studio is seeking a Front End Developer (Mobile) to build high-quality mobile experiences for our automotive ecommerce platforms. You'll work with React and React Native to convert UI/UX designs into fast, polished interfaces for iOS and Android, owning features from handoff to release.

You will ship mobile features, review code, optimize performance, and collaborate with designers, product, and back-end developers. Hybrid Brisbane-based role with remote options within Australia.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ commercial experience with React.js and hands-on React Native shipping apps to App Store/Google Play.
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, plus HTML5/CSS3 fundamentals.
• Good understanding of responsive, mobile-first design and platform guidelines (Apple HIG and Material Design).
• Experience with Git, PR reviews and mobile tooling.
• Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Automotive, ecommerce or SaaS experience is valued.

The Role

We’re looking for a Front End Developer (Mobile) to build and ship high-quality mobile experiences across Dealer Studio’s automotive ecommerce platforms. Working mainly in React and React Native, you’ll turn UI/UX designs into fast, polished interfaces for iOS and Android. You’ll own features from design handoff through to release. This role suits a developer who already ships with confidence and wants real influence over how our mobile products are built.

As a Front End Developer (Mobile), you will:

• Build, ship and maintain mobile features in React Native and TypeScript, working consistently across iOS and Android, devices and OS versions
• Take features end to end, from design review and technical scoping through to testing and release
• Assess the technical feasibility of designs and suggest practical alternatives where needed
• Optimise apps for performance, speed and scalability
• Write clean, maintainable code and help shape the team’s patterns and conventions
• Review pull requests and share knowledge with junior developers
• Investigate and fix complex bugs, including device- and platform-specific issues
• Work closely with designers, product and back end developers on APIs, data and delivery
• Contribute to sprint planning, technical discussions and internal documentation

Requirements

• Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Automotive, ecommerce or SaaS experience is highly regarded
