Job summary

Flour & Chocolate Patisserie in Morningside, Brisbane, seeks an experienced pastry chef to join our team. This hands-on role focuses on pastry, baking and cake production, all from scratch, without premixes, and benefits from working with an experienced crew.

You'll rotate across sections—croissants, puff pastry, shortcrust, cakes and other baked goods—while following recipes, production schedules and strict food safety practices. Start times are early and the roster runs Tuesday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial experience as a pastry chef and practical skills making products from scratch are essential.
• Reliable, organised and cooperative with attention to detail and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between pastry sections throughout the year and contribute skills across pastry and baking, cake making, and sandwich preparation.
• Follow established recipes and production schedules to maintain consistent standards and keep the section organised.
• Work with a team of four pastry chefs to deliver high-quality products from scratch.
