Yandina Family Medical Practice on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join its team. You will greet patients, manage appointments, and support doctors and nursing staff in a busy general practice.

Ideal candidates will have experience in medical reception or administration, be proficient with Best Practice software, and demonstrate outstanding communication, confidentiality, and organisational skills in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, managing patient appointments, bookings, confirmations and scheduling changes, and answering incoming telephone calls and responding to general enquiries.
• Managing email communications, directing enquiries to the appropriate staff members, providing administrative support to doctors and nursing staff, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Handling confidential patient information in accordance with practice procedures, using medical practice software to manage appointments and patient administration, and assisting with general clerical duties and day-to-day practice operations.
• Communicating relevant messages and administrative information to the clinical team, maintaining a welcoming, organised and professional reception environment, and contributing to a positive and cooperative team culture.
