Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, ideally within the food or hospitality industry.
• Minimum of 1+ years of customer service or retail experience is required for this position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
• Adaptability and the willingness to take on a variety of tasks as required.
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
• Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers at the bakery counter, providing recommendations and processing sales transactions
• Maintaining the bakery display, restocking products and ensuring an inviting, clean and organized retail space
• Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for all customers
• Assisting with food preparation tasks as required, such as packaging baked goods
• Following all food safety and hygiene procedures to ensure the highest standards are upheld
• Supporting the bakery team with other duties as needed to contribute to the overall success of the business
