Job summary

Qantas Freight Ground Services (QGS) is hiring Freight Ground Crew at Mascot Airport to manage domestic and international freight, including pets, machinery and hazardous goods. You will load and unload aircraft and operate forklifts, tugs, and the iCargo warehouse system with your team.

This permanent part-time role offers on-the-job training and career growth in a dynamic aviation environment. A valid license and forklift certification are required, along with the ability to lift up to 32 kg

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license (valid) is required.
• Current forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to repetitively lift items up to 32 kg.
• Flexible to work a 24/7 rotating roster across shifts.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical (Qantas funded).
• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced operational environment is preferred.
• Commitment to safety and Work Health & Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aircraft as part of freight handling.
• Operate forklifts, tugs and other heavy machinery as required.
• Use computer systems and scanners; lodge freight documents into iCargo.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to ensure efficient operations.
