Job summary

DSV in NSW, Alexandria, seeks an Operational Finance Operator to manage revenue, costs and profit through accurate invoicing and payments. You will raise AR invoices to customers and overseas offices, process AP invoices from service providers, and handle intercompany invoices with global deadlines.

You will also finalize profit shares, answer queries, and collaborate across teams to improve processes while adhering to local and global policies.

We’re looking for an experienced Operational Finance Operator in the freight forward space to join our team in NSW, Alexandria. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions within the NSW branch, by issuing AR invoices and processing AP invoices.

Your typical day at DSV:

Raise AR invoices to our customers and overseas offices.

Auto-rating and validation of charges in preparation for raising invoices.

Processing of AP invoices from service providers.

Processing of Intercompany Invoices in line with Global deadlines.

Finalizing of profit share per our global agreements.

Managing emails to ensure timely and effective communication.

Collaboration with internal teams to resolve queries from customers and service providers.

Following local and global policies to meet all key objectives.

Active participation in team meetings

About you:

Financial Competency, you understand the fundamentals of Revenue, Costs and Profit, and issuing accurate invoices to our customers.

Operational Excellence, you pride yourself on attention to detail and best performance. You have knowledge around basic freight forwarding principals and operational finance is your passion.

Process Driven, you can follow the outlined process to achieve the desired result. You work collaboratively with the team to drive efficiency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Problem Solving, you take ownership and show initiative. You elevate meaningful observations that are causing revenue loss for appropriate corrective action.

Tech‑Savvy, you know your way around Microsoft Office to an intermediate level. You can navigate CargoWise One or comparable TMS system. You embrace new technology and digitisation.
