Ogilvy PR in Sydney is seeking a proactive Freelance Account Manager to support consumer media relations during the festive period. You will manage day-to-day client needs, pitch stories, create media lists, and coordinate campaigns with the PR & Influence team.

This role requires hands-on, organised PR professionals who can juggle multiple priorities, work some weekends, and assist a high-profile client through November to December 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in a PR agency environment with consumer media relations.
• Excellent writing, pitching and communication skills.
• Strong account management and organisational skills.
• Autonomous, proactive and able to hit the ground running.
• Available for full-time freelance period Nov–26 Dec 2026.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive media relations, build media lists, pitch stories and secure coverage.
• Support consumer PR campaigns, activations and announcements.
• Manage day-to-day account activity, timelines, reports and client communications.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and influencers.
• Identify news hooks and opportunities to generate coverage.
• Provide hands-on support and manage competing deadlines.
• Support out-of-hours media requests during Christmas.
