Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Fraud & Scams to shape and evolve products that protect Australians and the payments ecosystem from fraud and scams. You will own products through lifecycle—from defining problems and shaping propositions to roadmap development, delivery, and ongoing operation—driven by market insight and performance data.

Qualifications

• Deep fraud and scams domain experience designing or operating related products or controls.
• Strong knowledge of card-present and card-not-present fraud and related processes.
• Experience with real-time or A2A payments and APP scams is ideal.
• Proven end-to-end product management capability across lifecycle stages.
• Solid payments/financial services knowledge in regulated environments.
• Commercial and strategic thinking applied to complex problems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Delivery discipline with cross-functional teams and roadmaps.
• A customer-focused, problem-solving mindset for ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery and optimisation.
• Develop propositions and roadmaps addressing evolving fraud and scam risks.
• Translate fraud challenges into practical product opportunities and controls.
• Lead cross-functional teams, prioritise requirements and manage backlogs.
• Coordinate testing, launches, communications and training.
• Build business cases considering commercial, technical and risk impacts.
• Establish relationships with banks, fraud leaders and data teams.
• Provide specialist advice to operational leadership for execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operating models in fraud landscape.
