Job summary

Major Australian bank in Parramatta/Sydney NSW seeks a Fraud & Scams Officer for a casual contract starting 9 November. This is a busy contact centre role within a leading banking operations team.

You will support customers with suspicious transactions, scams or possible fraud, taking an empathetic, solution-focused approach while following structured procedures and documentation requirements. Structured onboarding and training will be provided to bring you up to speed quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking or financial services or fraud prevention.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle distressed customers and maintain empathy.
• Experience in high-volume contact centres is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer inquiries about suspicious transactions.
• Escalate potential fraud and maintain records.
