Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Risk Analyst to join the Leo Fraud and Abuse team, bridging operations, engineering, and business stakeholders to investigate complex fraud and abuse cases and define new scenarios to stay ahead of threats.

You will work across Account, Identity, Payment Fraud, and Abuse vectors, surface product capabilities, and drive measurable impact in the fraud prevention ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of compliance program management or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of program requirements definition and data/metrics leveraging to drive improvements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjudicate complex fraud and abuse cases across Account, Identity, Payment Fraud, and Abuse vectors using associated investigation tooling.
• Apply sound judgment and navigate high-risk decisions where outcomes directly impact customer trust, financial exposure, and enforcement integrity.
• Adhere closely to established SOPs while challenging assumptions and implementing improvements.
• Collaborate with the Fraud and Abuse product team to deep-dive on escalations and edge cases.
• Provide ongoing feedback to product and engineering on tooling gaps and workflow friction points.
• Proactively ideate, design, and document new fraud and abuse scenarios based on insights to strengthen detection models and enforcement rules.
• Identify gaps in detection systems and workflows, and recommend enhancements to mitigate risks with stakeholders.
• Drive innovation in fraud detection and investigation methodologies.
