Job summary

CommBank seeks an Economic Crime Intelligence Technical Specialist to prevent and disrupt fraud, scams and economic crime. You will work with stakeholders, learn new techniques, and apply technical skills to enhance detection and disruption across the organisation.

You will explore tools, automate processes and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical teams while upholding privacy and data protection obligations.

Qualifications

• Basic technical capability or willingness to learn data analytics, scripting or automation.
• Interest in social engineering and emerging fraud/cyber-enabled crime trends.
• Strong self-development mindset and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging criminal methodologies and trends for disruption.
• Improve team efficiency via automation, data analysis and process optimisation.
• Build knowledge on fraud, scam and economic crime processes using OSINT tools and documentation techniques.
• Assist in continual improvement of intelligence exfiltration and monitoring of fraud infrastructure.
• Explore new tools and techniques and learn how they apply to disruption efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand priorities and support project delivery; present complex concepts clearly.
