Job summary

Commonwealth Bank is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to shape the technical direction and architecture for Economic Crime Platforms. You will drive modernization across investigation, analytics and ML capabilities in a complex technology environment, influencing enterprise-scale engineering decisions.

You will champion cloud-native, microservices and automation while embedding security, data governance and observability.

Qualifications

• Accomplished engineering leader with enterprise influence.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to translate business and risk priorities into engineering strategy.
• Strong data/analytics platform experience.

Responsibilities

• Define technology roadmaps and target-state architecture for platforms.
• Lead strategy and delivery of investigation, analytics, ML and agentic platforms.
• Guide development of trusted data products, engineering intelligence and reusable capabilities.
• Champion cloud-native architecture, APIs, automation and IaC.
• Embed security, privacy, observability and resilience throughout the lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and uplift engineering capability across the platform.
• Translate complex needs for senior stakeholders into actionable outcomes.
