Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District’s Osteoporosis Refracture Prevention (ORP) Program at Westmead Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapist (Level 4) for a permanent part-time role. You’ll combine high-quality physiotherapy with fracture liaison coordination to prevent future fractures and improve bone health.

You will collaborate with endocrinologists, allied health professionals and community services, perform bone density screening and coordinate care pathways while supporting Aboriginal health

Qualifications

• Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist
• Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fracture liaison activities, including case-finding, initial screening, DEXA referrals and multidisciplinary review.
• Assess mobility and falls risk; deliver evidence-based physiotherapy and develop personalised exercise programs.
• Lead osteoporosis education and group exercise sessions to empower patients about bone health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; coordinate referrals to medical, allied health and community services.
• Contribute to service improvement, clinical reporting and development of care pathways.
