Job summary

Newmont's Perth-based team is seeking a Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis for a 12-month contract. Based in Perth with hybrid flexibility, you will provide robust budgeting, forecasting and reporting support across the Asia Pacific region’s Australian operations.

You’ll analyse life-of-mine planning models, budgets and performance data, delivering clear insights and commentary to leadership while driving continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Geology or related field.
• Mining industry experience preferred with understanding of site support functions.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability with opportunity identification.
• Experience in process improvement and organisational change.
• Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Support regional planning, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
• Review financial models relating to life-of-mine planning and investment evaluation.
• Analyse budgets and performance data, delivering insights and leadership-ready commentary.
• Collaborate with the Regional Planning team to improve planning quality and transparency.
• Assist in project prioritisation and recommendation shaping.
• Contribute to automation of planning and reporting to reduce manual effort.
