Job summary

Appreciating Talent in Sydney, NSW is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager. You will partner with the CFO and leadership to own budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, building a scalable FP&A function that supports strategic decision-making.

You’ll shape processes, develop robust financial models, and deliver executive reporting for the Board, while guiding commercial analysis across revenue and cash flow in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced FP&A Manager to join a highly successful and rapidly growing organisation that has scaled to more than $3 billion in revenue in just 10 years.

The business has grown through a combination of strong organic growth and acquisitions creating a complex and evolving environment where finance has a genuine opportunity to influence the next phase of growth.

This is not a role focused purely on producing reports. You will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, taking ownership of budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and commercial analysis, while helping to build a more consistent, scalable and decision-focused FP&A function.

The opportunity

The organisation is entering an exciting stage of its growth journey, with a clear focus on bringing greater structure, consistency and commercial insight to an increasingly sophisticated business.

As FP&A Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the FP&A function, rather than simply inherit an established process.

The role will commence as a 12 month fixed term contract with high potential to transition into a permanent role within the organisation.

You’ll be expected to identify opportunities for improvement, challenge assumptions, strengthen forecasting and develop reporting that genuinely helps management make better decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the annual budgeting process, reforecasts and monthly forecasting cycles
• Owning monthly performance and executive reporting
• Providing commercial analysis across revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and key business drivers
• Building and improving financial models, KPI dashboards and management reporting
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvements
• Preparing analysis and materials for the CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board
• Supporting acquisition analysis, integration and strategic initiatives
• Standardising FP&A processes, reporting definitions and management information
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and better use of data

About you

We're looking for a commercially minded FP&A / Commercial Finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced and evolving environment and is comfortable getting into the detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

You will ideally have:

• Strong FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering experience
• Proven ownership of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
• Experience producing executive and Board-level reporting
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement
• The confidence to challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders
• A pragmatic approach to improving processes and working with imperfect data
