Job summary

Auto & General is seeking an FP&A Analyst to provide planning and financial support to the FP&A Manager and collaborate with analysts across the team. The role will help deliver the annual business plan, own reporting deliverables, improve existing processes, and provide support to partnering finance teams.

The FP&A Analyst works within Corporate Finance to analyze financial data, prepare reports, monitor KPIs, and develop financial strategies that support the company’s goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in an analytical role in a comparable organization
• Analytical and financial literacy with strong reporting capabilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas and data visualisation

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data, including budgets, revenue, expenses and cash flow, and provide insights for reporting obligations.
• Prepare and review reports, presentations and materials to communicate results to senior management.
• Monitor KPIs and recommend improvements.
• Partner with various teams to develop and implement financial strategies.
• Consolidate forecasts and the annual business plan across P&L.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams to understand accounting treatment and improve forecasting.
• Drive enhancements to reporting processes and implement best practices.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Contribute to business packs and business cases with data-driven insights.
• Assist transition from Excel-based reporting to Google Sheets and migrate end-to-end.
• Improve monthly processes including CAPEX tracking, FTE reporting, and management reporting.
