Googong High School, part of the NSW Department of Education, seeks the Head Teacher of Technological and Applied Studies to lead the STEM faculty as the founding member.

The role starts in term 4 to help establish the curriculum approach, support incoming staff and assist the operational setup of a new school designed around Learning Sciences. Applicants must meet NSW teaching approvals.

Qualificações

• Capacity to lead the implementation of a high-impact, innovative STEM curriculum delivering strong outcomes.
• Proven strategic leadership to manage growth of a large faculty.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop staff capacity and teaching quality.
• Experience with curriculum design, assessment and student welfare; lead inclusive programs.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal education policy and NSW Department requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead interdisciplinary STEAM programs within the faculty.
• Refine the school curriculum design for Googong High School.
• Prepare to support incoming teachers and assist in operational set up.
• Collaborate with Head Teachers to address curriculum, pedagogy and personnel needs.
• Build a dynamic, contemporary culture aligned with Learning Sciences.
