Job summary

Googong High School will open to year 7 and 8 in 2027, within the Queanbeyan network. The Head Teacher Technological and Applied Studies will lead an interdisciplinary STEM faculty and play a key role in curriculum and operations for a large group of teachers.

The successful applicant will commence in term 4 to support curriculum design, onboarding new staff and setting up school operations as the new campus builds a dynamic teaching culture anchored in innovative learning sciences.

• Proven leadership to build capacity and manage a large faculty.
• Ability to plan for rapid growth and expansion of a new school.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop staff capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary STEM faculty comprising Mathematics, Science and TAS.
• Refine curriculum design and support incoming teachers as the school opens.
• Oversee operational, curriculum and personnel needs for a large teaching team.
