Job summary

Wesley Mission in Penrith, NSW is seeking a Case Manager for maternity leave cover from Oct 2026 to Mar 2027. The role involves working with children, birth parents and foster carers within the Out of Home Care framework.

A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related fields is required, along with knowledge of PSP and NSW Out of Home Care legislation. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, with some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s qualification in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or related fields.
• Knowledge, skills and experience working with children and families.
• Demonstrated ability to write reports to a professional standard.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to mediate under pressure to resolve differences using a strength’s-based approach.
• Flexible to work some evenings and weekends.
• Experience in Out of Home Care.
• Knowledge of the Permanency Support Program (PSP).
• Working knowledge of the legislation governing Out of Home Care in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management support to children, birth parents and foster carers.
• Coordinate services with support agencies within the Out of Home Care framework.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development and contribute to team goals.
