Job summary

The Recruitment Company Australia is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our AI team in Canberra. You will work directly with strategic clients to turn complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions.

You'll design AI/LLM applications, data pipelines and cloud architectures across AWS, Azure or GCP, provide technical leadership, and mentor engineers while shaping solutions with senior stakeholders. Hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript or Go.
• Experience building AI/LLM applications in production is compulsory.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.

We're working with a leading global consulting organisation building a high-performing AI engineering team in Australia. They're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with strategic clients, turning complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. Work on real-world AI deployments using cutting-edge Anthropic technologies. Please note you must be an Australian citizen to be considered for this role.

The Role

You'll sit at the intersection of AI engineering, software development, solution architecture and client delivery. You could be:

• Building AI/LLM applications and agentic workflows
• Designing integrations, data pipelines and cloud architectures
• Rapidly prototyping and taking solutions into production
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers
• Working directly with senior client stakeholders to shape solutions

About You
