Intrinzic is building a brand-new AI engineering capability in Australia, seeking one of its founding engineers to deliver production AI for major enterprises. You’ll sit with client executives and take ambiguous problems through to end-to-end AI deployment, delivering measurable business impact.

You’ll own production-grade AI solutions with autonomy and accountability, collaborating across engineering, architecture and consulting.

• Join a brand-new AI engineering capability as one of its founding engineers
• Build production AI for major enterprises, not prototypes
• Backed by partnerships with a leading frontier AI lab and the biggest names in enterprise software

Intrinzic is partnering exclusively with a global technology organisation making a serious investment in its Australian AI capability.

Rather than joining something established, you'd be one of a small group of engineers building it from the ground up.This isn't a research role. It isn't a support role. And it certainly isn't about building AI demos that never see daylight.

You'll sit with enterprise clients, work alongside their senior technical and business leaders, and take messy, ambiguous problems and work out where the real value sits. Then you own it end to end, from the first proof of concept through to AI running in production and genuinely changing how that organisation builds and ships software.

What you'd actually be doing

• No two engagements look the same.
• One week you're with senior decision-makers unpicking a complex business problem. The next you're designing and shipping a production-grade AI solution with a measurable outcome attached.
• You'll combine engineering, architecture and consulting to move clients from "what's possible" to "here's what's in production."
• You'll work with high autonomy and real accountability, leading a small cross-functional team when an engagement calls for it. It's a player-coach role, so you stay close to the work rather than managing from a distance.

We're looking for people who

• Have taken AI or LLM solutions into production, with real outcomes behind them
• Come from a genuine software engineering, platform, DevOps or architecture background
• Still enjoy solving hard technical problems themselves
• Can hold their own with senior stakeholders and executives
• Have real depth in AWS, Azure or GCP
• Like working where technology meets the business

Most importantly, you take ownership, you're comfortable with ambiguity, and you want to work where AI is creating genuine commercial impact rather than ticking a box.

• A package between $180k and $225k inclusive of super, plus individual and company performance bonuses, and the wider benefits of a global organisation.
• Beyond that, you'd be joining one of the fastest-growing parts of the business at the point where it's still being shaped. There's bespoke AI and agentic training behind you, genuinely strong engineers around you, and real influence over how the practice evolves.
• There are also levels above this one. Where you land is decided through the process based on your experience, so there's room to move.
• Opportunities to join something at this stage don't come around often.
