Job summary

Reform is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join our crews on civil and infrastructure projects across Queensland, including the Sunshine Coast. You will read drawings, set out and construct formwork, and work safely with concrete pours.

AQF Certificate III in Carpentry and a minimum of 2 years formwork experience are required, along with a White Card. You must be physically fit and a reliable team player contributing to high-quality workmanship on major projects.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of formwork/carpentry experience.
• Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safety practices.
• Experience on civil infrastructure projects and structural concrete works.
• Physically fit with ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specs to determine formwork requirements.
• Set out, construct, install and dismantle formwork for civil and structural concrete works.
• Construct formwork for foundations, bridges and other reinforced concrete structures.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber, plywood and formwork materials.
• Install formwork systems, supports and bracing per drawings and specs.
• Work with steel fixers and concreters to prepare formwork for pours.
• Strip and dismantle formwork safely after concrete placement.
• Inspect completed formwork and rectify defects prior to concrete placement.
• Operate and maintain carpentry hand/power tools safely and maintain a clean site.
