Job summary

Link-Force Au in Brisbane is seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our team on a casual basis across various sites in Brisbane. You will construct and install formwork systems according to engineering specs, read drawings, and ensure safety on site.

With consistent work on high-rise projects, you will measure, cut, assemble formwork materials, install supports, perform pre-pour checks, and coordinate with trades while maintaining a clean, safe and organized site and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, materials and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Competency in using formwork-related tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent mathematical skills for accurate measurements.
• Current construction safety induction card (White Card) or equivalent.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with site regulations.

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber and other formwork materials to required specifications.
• Installing temporary support structures and bracing systems to ensure structural integrity during concrete pouring.
• Conducting pre-pour inspections to verify formwork stability and alignment.
• Dismantling and removing formwork systems safely after concrete has cured.
• Collaborating with other trades and site management to coordinate formwork activities.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area whilst adhering to all site safety protocols.
• Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards or defects in formwork installations.
