Job summary

Ertech is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join our Resources team for the Wheatstone NRU Thermal Oxidiser project. You will handle formwork construction, installation, and stripping of systems for reinforced concrete structures on site.

Reporting to the Civil Supervisor, you will mobilise, construct foundations, earthing, paving, and handover activities while maintaining safety, quality and environmental standards across a high-risk industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry required.
• Experience with in-situ reinforced concrete construction.
• Familiar with formwork systems including PERI and MEVA.
• White Card and recent Gas Test Atmospheres certification.
• Permit to Work training completed.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, modify, and dismantle formwork systems.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Assemble and strip formwork systems (proprietary and conventional).
• Ensure work meets project quality and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with site teams to hit milestones.
• Operate small to medium civil plant and equipment.

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced Formwork Carpenters to join our Resources team supporting the Civil and Electrical Construction scopes on the Wheatstone NRU Thermal Oxidiser project. The work scope includes mobilisation, foundation construction, earthing, paving, testing, documentation, completion and handover activities.

Reporting to the Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, modification, and stripping of formwork systems for a range of reinforced concrete structures, including foundations, footings, plinths, equipment pads, retaining walls, and associated civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, install, modify, and dismantle formwork systems
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Assemble and strip both proprietary and conventional formwork systems
• Ensure all work meets project quality and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with site teams to achieve project milestones
• Operate small to medium civil plant and equipment
• Comply with permit-to-work systems and site safety procedures

Essential Requirements

• Trade qualification in Carpentry
• Demonstrated experience with in-situ reinforced concrete construction
• Extensive experience with PERI and/or MEVA formwork systems
• Extensive experience with conventional formwork
• Previous experience in an operational gas plant, oil & gas facility, mine site, or similar high-risk industrial environment
• White Card
• Gas Test Atmospheres (within 3 years)
• Permit to Work training and practical experience
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance
• Full Australian working rights
