Job summary

Synergie in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on Forklift/Operator for a busy Pinkenba recycling facility that processes organics, cardboard and glass. The role starts ASAP with 7am shifts and overtime.

You will support daily operations across the organics processing plant and resource recovery areas, performing equipment operation, plant housekeeping, and general labouring tasks. Training is provided, and there may be potential for full-time conversion for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a front-end loader and/or forklift is highly regarded.
• Forklift Licence and Loader Ticket are advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in recycling, waste, manufacturing, logistics or resource recovery environments desirable.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate the de-packaging and organics processing plant.
• Operate a front-end loader to feed materials into the processing system.
• Operate a forklift to move and empty bins as required.
• Clean and maintain plant equipment and machinery.
• Water blast floors and maintain high housekeeping standards across the facility.
• Assist with general yard maintenance and operational duties.
• Follow all site safety procedures and environmental requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the operations team to achieve production targets.
