Job summary

ITI NSW in Sydney is seeking a hardworking Forklift Operator/Yard Person to join the team. You will prepare customer orders, operate a forklift, and support goods inwards/outwards in the yard, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Forklift licence with demonstrated experience.
• Available Monday–Friday 6:30am–2:36pm or 2:20pm–10:26pm, and Saturdays 6:00am–12:00pm when required.
• Knowledge of timber products is desirable but not essential; training provided.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
• Australian Citizenship or legal Work Rights and pre-employment medical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Container unloading.
• Safe operation of a forklift vehicle.
• Picking, wrapping, and strapping of customer orders for pick up/delivery.

We have an exciting opportunity for hardworking and outgoing Forklift Operator / Yard Person to join our team in St Marys, Sydney. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for preparing customer orders, forklift operations and supporting goods outwards/inwards section of our yard.

The role will also include but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Container unloading.
• Safe operations of a forklift vehicle
• Picking, wrapping, and strapping of customer orders for pick up/delivery.
• Maintain general housekeeping practices across the shed and work areas.

To Be Successful

Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.

The ideal candidate must also:

• Be available to work Monday – Friday 6:30am–2:36pm or 2:20pm-10:26pm
• Be available to work Saturdays 6:00am – 12:00pmwhen required.
• Have knowledge of Timber products (highly desirable but not necessary - training provided).
• Have strong work ethic and reliable.
• Must hold a valid Forklift licence with demonstrated experience.
• Have a safety conscience.
