Chandler Recruitment is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver and Machine Operator for a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Melbourne. You will operate processing machinery and forklifts in a clean, professional production environment, performing checks and ensuring safety and quality.

The role suits candidates with prior manufacturing or warehouse experience, able to follow SOPs and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food or FMCG is highly regarded.
• Ability to follow SOPs, production procedures and safety requirements.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing machines safely and efficiently
• Operate Forklifts to move and store materials as required
• Ensure production goods meet required quality standards
• Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on machinery
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as required
• Monitor and inspect produced goods throughout the processing stage
• Report machine malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
• Follow all health, safety and workplace procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
• Accurately record production quantities, machine operations and maintenance activities
• Assist with all processing, warehouse and production activities as required

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Drivers and Machine Operators to join a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, processing or warehouse experience who are confident operating machinery or forklifts and are looking for ongoing work in a clean and professional production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain processing machines safely and efficiently
• Operate Forklifts to move and store materials as required
• Ensure production goods meet required quality standards

About You

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator or Forklift Driver
• Valid forklift licence
• Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food or FMCG experience highly regarded
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow SOPs, production procedures and safety requirements
• Good understanding of workplace hygiene and safety standards
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and repetitive production environment
