Job summary

Skillforce Recruitment Pty Ltd in Perth is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a busy Maddington yard to support construction and civil infrastructure projects with dewatering/shoring equipment. You will move large, heavy, and irregular loads and operate large-capacity forklifts in a safety-focused team.

Applicants must have proven forklift experience, White Card, a valid C-class licence, and the ability to pass a drug screen.

We're looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy Maddington yard supporting the construction, civil infrastructure industries with dewatering / shoring equipment hire.

This isn't your standard warehouse forklift role. You'll be handling large, heavy and irregular loads, so experience with "ugly freight" is essential.

This is a role where attitude carries as much weight as the ticket. we want someone who turns up on time every day, takes safety seriously, communicates clearly with the yard and workshop crew, and takes ownership of the yard rather than waiting to be told. Someone looking for a stable, ongoing position with a well-established business will do well here.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating larger-capacity forklifts
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving oversized and awkward freight safely around the yard
• Handling construction materials, plant and other heavy products
• Working as part of a hands-on yard team
• Keeping the yard organised and maintaining a strong focus on safety

What You will have:

• Proven experience operating large-capacity forklifts
• Experience handling oversized, heavy or irregular freight
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current C class Drivers Licence & reliable transport
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen
• Full Australian working rights - Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to a full working week
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling and repetitive lifting

Your Extra Tickets Can Pay Off Have more than just a forklift ticket?
HR-B Drivers Licence & experience with HIAB with CV High Risk Work Licence with load restraint knowledge highly regarded and can attract a higher rate of pay.
