Job summary

Fuse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator and Yard Hand for a well-established Australian manufacturer in Brisbane. This hands-on role supports day-to-day production with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability, offering long-term stability and potential permanent placement.

You will operate a counterbalance forklift, assist with yard and warehouse tasks, and help monitor production processes.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence required.
• Valid Australian driver’s license required.
• Able to work full-time hours, overtime, weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move raw materials, in-process materials and finished stock.
• Support production operations and daily plant requirements.
• Operate the control room and monitor production processes.
• Clean, maintain and secure equipment per procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and workplace improvement programs.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

Our client is looking for a reliable, safety-focused individual who is eager to secure a long-term position with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for supporting plant operations through safe material handling, equipment maintenance, and general yard duties. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in an industrial environment and being part of a close-knit team.

• Operating acounterbalance forkliftto move raw materials, in-process materials, and finished stock
• Supporting production operations and assisting with daily plant requirements
• Operating the control room and monitoring production processes
• Cleaning, maintaining, and securing equipment in line with company procedures
• Participating in safety meetings and workplace improvement programs
• Following all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a dependable and hardworking individual with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

• A validCounterbalance Forklift Licence
• A validAustralian driver's license
• Flexible working hours + able to work full-time hours/ overtime when permitted, with ability to be flexible on start and finish times, as well as open to weekends
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or similar industrial environment
