Job summary

Linfox Intermodal has a casual night shift opportunity for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator in West Melbourne, VIC. You will join a high-volume cross-dock operation, loading/unloading freight, re-working containers, and supporting distribution across the network.

We are seeking a safety-focused team player with a valid LF forklift licence, at least 3 years of counterbalance experience, and reliable transport to cover night shifts (6:00pm–2:00am).

Qualifications

• Current High Risk LF Forklift Licence.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating counterbalance forklifts.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks, trailers and containers.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to procedures.
• Reliable transport and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load and unload trucks, trailers and shipping containers.
• Re-work and reconfigure freight within containers to meet requirements.
• Move, stage and prepare freight for onward distribution.
• Participate in manual handling tasks and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain safety, CoR and compliance standards.
• Work independently and in a team.

Working within a fast-paced transport and logistics environment, you'll play a critical role in keeping freight moving safely and efficiently across our national network. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks and freight containers, container re-work, manual handling activities, and supporting general cross-dock operations.

This is a casual night shift opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 6:00pm - 2:00am. Key Areas:

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load and unload trucks, trailers and shipping containers
• Re-work and reconfigure freight within containers to meet operational and customer requirements
• Move, stage and prepare freight for onward distribution through the network
• Participate in manual handling tasks and general warehouse duties as required
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and operational compliance standards
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
