Job summary

Workfast is seeking a Forklift Operator for an immediate start at our client’s warehouse in Thomastown, Victoria. This is a temp-to-perm role paying $38.00–$40.00 per hour, with 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

You will need a current LF Forklift Licence with Counterbalance and prior warehouse experience. Overtime may be available and a successful candidate will be reliable, punctual and able to pass medical and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Current LF Forklift Licence with Counterbalance.
• Previous experience as a Storeperson or in warehouse operations.
• Ability to pass medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Loading hoppers with materials and performing general yard cleaning duties.
• Monitoring all plant and equipment, scheduling and conducting maintenance as required.
• Managing maintenance and production tasks, including some manual handling.
• Perform general labouring duties to support the team as required.
• Assist with site preparation and clean-up.

What you need

• Current LF Forklift Licence (essential) with Counterbalance
• Previous experience as a Storeperson or in warehouse operations
• Confident forklift operating skills
• Must have experience working as a forklift driver/store person position
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
• Reliable, punctual and able to work Monday-Friday
• Must be able to apply for a Section 77g Custom Bonds Facility
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Ability to pass a medical
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
