Job summary

Sealy of Australia in Brisbane seeks a dedicated Forklift Driver for its Components Division. The role involves loading and unloading trucks and containers, plus other logistical tasks as required on site.

The successful candidate will hold a current forklift license and have prior despatch experience within a national company. An MR/HR license is an advantage; strong WH&S knowledge and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a current forklift license.
• Experience operating Forklifts in a despatch/warehouse environment.
• Despatch experience within a national company is preferred.
• Strong attention to WH&S requirements and safe operating practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers.

The Role

The role involves loading and unloading trucks and containers, as well as some other logistical and manual tasks. You must be a responsible individual with experience operating Forklifts. A MR/HR license is an advantage, but not essential, as we also operate onsite trucks.

Other aspects of the role include:

• General logistical duties
• Involvement in certain aspects of the company's Continuous Improvement program.
• Ensure all WH&S obligations are met.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a current forklift license.
• Have previously worked in the Despatch area of a national company.
• Be a responsible individual with experience in the operation of Forklifts.
• Have attention to detail and familiarity with Forklift equipment
• Have sound knowledge and appreciation of WH&S.
• Have effective communication skills both verbal and written.
