Job summary

Programmed is recruiting experienced Forklift Operators & Freight Handler for a busy aviation and logistics operation at one of Australia’s largest airports. You will join a dynamic, 24/7 team handling airfreight with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Starting rate is AU$34.95+ per hour with penalties up to AU$60.05 per hour. Shifts include morning, afternoon and night, with 5-day work weeks and weekends as required. Onboarding includes mandatory drug and alcohol testing and ASIC clearance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LF forklift licence with at least 2 years operating experience.
• Must have a valid Australian driver licence.
• Experience in warehousing, freight, transport or logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload airfreight and cargo.
• Operate forklifts within a high-volume freight warehouse.
• Sort, scan and process freight.
• Load and unload vehicles and containers.
• Follow aviation safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading airfreight and cargo
• Operating forklifts within a high-volume freight warehouse
• Sorting, scanning and processing freight
• Loading and unloading vehicles and containers
• Following strict aviation safety and security procedures
• Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

Available Shifts

As this is a 24/7 operation, flexibility is essential. May extend up to 12 hours shift.

Shifts include:

• Morning Shifts (5am starts)
• Afternoon Shifts (12pm, 1.30pm, 3.50pm)
• Night Shifts (9pm starts)

Candidates must be available to work 5 days per week, including weekends and public holidays when required.

What We're Looking For

• Current LF Forklift Licence - With minimum of 2 years experience
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Previous experience in warehousing, freight, transport or logistics
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test (cost reimbursed upon onboarding- this is $100)
• Eligible to obtain an ASIC Clearance (cost reimbursed upon onboarding- this is $350)
• Ability to commit to the onboarding process
