Job summary

Daryl Dickenson Transport is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Store Person to join our warehouse team in Carole Park, Queensland. This full-time role involves unloading containers, operating forklifts, loading and unloading trailers, and accurate picking, packing and documentation to support efficient dispatch of steel products.

A current forklift licence and reliable, safe approach are essential. Working hours are 6am–10pm with variable start/finish times and Saturday work as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current & valid forklift licence.
• Relevant warehouse & forklift experience.
• Available Monday to Friday.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

• Ability to accurately complete and maintain documentation.

• Overhead crane & steel experience preferred.

About the role

Daryl Dickenson Transport is a medium sized family-owned business that specialise in the transportation of steel products intrastate and interstate. Our warehouse team specialises in container unloading, product storage for clients, and the loading & unloading of trailers. We ensure efficient handling, secure storage, and timely dispatch to support smooth operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Store person to join our team based in Carole Park.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Working hours are between the hours of 6am - 10pm, with start and finish times varying from day to day based on operational requirements. Saturday work is available as required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Unpacking products from containers
• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading trailers
• Picking and packing of goods accurately
• Ensuring documentation is completed correctly
• Securing loads and ensuring correct load restraint procedures are followed
• Maintaining housekeeping and performing general warehouse duties

This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment.

We are currently equipped with forklifts ranging from 3 tonne to 18 tonne.

Requirements for the role

• Must have a current & valid forklift licence
• Relevant warehouse & forklift experience
• Must be available Monday to Friday
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Safety focused
• Ability to accurately complete and maintain documentation
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Overhead crane & steel experience (preferred)
