Job summary

TSS Sensitive Freight is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for our Yatala facility. You will be part of a busy warehouse and transport operation handling sensitive, high-value and specialised freight.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading linehaul vehicles, operating forklifts safely, staging freight for interstate and local transport, and ensuring documentation accuracy while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Australian High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF).
• Experience in transport/logistics or linehaul environments.
• Experience loading/unloading interstate linehaul vehicles.
• Understanding of load placement and safe freight handling.
• Strong attention to detail for freight and documentation.

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts.

• Check freight against manifests and paperwork.
• Ensure freight is loaded safely and correctly.

TSS Sensitive Freight is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our operations team at our Yatala facility.

This role is suited to someone with strong linehaul experience who understands the importance of loading freight safely, efficiently and correctly. You will work as part of a busy warehouse and transport operation handling sensitive, high-value and specialised freight.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading linehaul vehicles


• Safely operating counterbalance forklifts


• Staging and preparing freight for interstate and local transport


• Checking freight against manifests and paperwork


• Ensuring freight is loaded safely and correctly


• Identifying and reporting damaged or incorrectly labelled freight


• Securing and handling sensitive, high-value and specialised items


• Completing general warehouse duties as required


• Following workplace health and safety procedures


• Working closely with drivers, allocators and warehouse team members to meet departure schedules

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Australian High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF)


• Previous forklift experience within a transport, logistics or linehaul environment


• Experience loading and unloading interstate linehaul vehicles


• A good understanding of load placement, weight distribution and safe freight handling


• Strong attention to detail when checking freight and documentation


• The ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment


• Good communication and teamwork skills


• A reliable work history and strong attendance
  
• The physical ability to assist with manual handling when required


• Experience handling sensitive, high-value, medical or specialised freight will be highly regarded.
