Job summary

Structerre Consulting in Perth, WA, seeks a senior Forensic Structural Engineer to deliver forensic and structural engineering services across Western Australia. You will conduct inspections, prepare complex reports, and mentor engineers while supporting growth of the I&I division.

You will provide expert advice, ensure compliance with NCC and Australian Standards, and build strong client relationships to drive WA market opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) with eligibility for registration.
• 5+ years' experience in residential construction and engineering.
• Expertise in structural inspections, forensic investigations, report writing and engineering assessment.
• Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and practical engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching capabilities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to undertake site inspections across WA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural inspections and investigations across residential and commercial projects, preparing accurate reports.
• Provide technical and forensic engineering advice to clients, colleagues and stakeholders while maintaining service standards.
• Review and quality-check engineering work for compliance with Structerre standards, NCC and Australian Standards.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to their development.
• Build strong client relationships and assist with business development to grow the WA market.
• Contribute to process improvements, technical innovation and new reporting methodologies.
