Job summary

The Andersen Partnership in Sydney is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to lead complex forensic engagements, working with Partners and legal counsel on high-profile matters. You will drive client relationships, coach junior staff and contribute to the growth of the Sydney practice.

The role offers leadership responsibility, direct Partner exposure and a clear path toward Director/Partner level, with a strong emphasis on valuation, dispute advisory and strategic advisory services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics or Law.
• CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant forensic accounting, dispute advisory and valuation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensic accounting and advisory engagements with dispute focus.
• Prepare and review independent expert reports, analyses and models.
• Quantify economic loss, damages and financial remedies in disputes.
• Lead valuations of businesses, shares, IP and other assets.
• Mentor junior team members and manage client relationships.
• Coordinate with Partners, clients and legal counsel on engagements.
• Identify business development opportunities and support pitches.
• Maintain high professional and risk-management standards.

Forensic Accounting | Manager / Senior Manager

Sydney | Leading Independent Advisory Firm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the growing Forensic Advisory team of a highly regarded global professional services firm in Sydney.

The team works with leading forensic accounting and valuation specialists across complex commercial disputes, litigation, arbitration and valuation matters.

As a Manager or Senior Manager, you’ll work closely with Partners and legal counsel on high-profile engagements, while taking a key role in managing client relationships, developing the team and contributing to the continued growth of the Sydney practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forensic professional looking for greater client exposure, Partner interaction, leadership responsibility and a clear path for progression.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading and delivering complex forensic and advisory engagements, including:

• Leading forensic accounting and advisory engagements, with a focus on dispute advisory and business valuations
• Managing the preparation and review of independent expert reports, financial analysis and valuation models
• Quantifying economic loss, damages and other financial remedies arising from commercial disputes
• Leading valuations of businesses, shares, equity interests, IP and other tangible and intangible assets
• Reviewing and assessing the work of opposing experts and advisers in legal proceedings
• Managing multiple engagements across quality, deadlines, budgets and client outcomes
• Working directly with Partners, clients, legal counsel and senior stakeholders
• Building and strengthening relationships with clients, referrers and legal advisers
• Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, including proposals and pitches
• Contributing to thought leadership and the continued growth of the practice
• Mentoring, coaching and developing junior team members
• Maintaining high professional, regulatory and risk management standards

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, Law or a related discipline
• CA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification
• Significant experience across forensic accounting, dispute advisory, valuations, corporate finance or a related advisory discipline
• Demonstrated experience managing complex engagements and delivering high-quality outcomes
• Strong technical capability across financial modelling, valuation methodologies and financial analysis
• Proven ability to manage and develop relationships with senior clients, legal professionals and external advisers
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence preparing, reviewing and presenting complex analysis and reports
