About the role

As a Trust Investigator, you’ll lead and conduct investigations into the affairs of law practices across NSW to ensure compliance with trust accounting requirements. You’ll plan and manage complex investigations, prepare reports capable of withstanding tribunal scrutiny, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders including solicitors, auditors, and legal representatives. You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to maintaining high professional and ethical standards within the legal profession.

Qualifications and experience

• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting, or business
• CA or CPA qualified
• Experience in forensic accounting, audit, compliance, or investigations
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial systems, and auditing principles
• Knowledge of law and rules of evidence is desirable
• Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
