Job summary

Respect is seeking a casual Food Services Cook for McLean Gardens in Inverell, NSW. The role focuses on preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary needs in a welcoming aged care setting, with a supportive team and emphasis on hygiene.

The successful candidate will have cookery qualifications or demonstrated cooking experience, plus understanding of food safety and infection control. Flexibility to work across shifts and a National Police Certificate is preferred.

About The Role

We are looking for a casual Food Services Cook to join the team at McLean Gardens in Inverell, NSW. This role focuses on preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents in a welcoming aged care environment.

You will work as part of a supportive food services team, assisting with meal preparation, cooking, menu requirements, food safety and maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene. You will also help ensure residents receive enjoyable meals that support their health and wellbeing.

About You

• Previous experience working as a Cook, preferably in aged care, healthcare or a similar environment.
• Relevant cookery qualification or demonstrated cooking experience.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and infection control practices.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals while accommodating dietary requirements and modified food textures.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
